INI Epilepsy Program Earns Highest Level Designation
The Illinois Neurological Institute (INI) is pleased to announce the National Association of Epilepsy Centers has designated the INI Comprehensive Epilepsy Center
a Level 4 Epilepsy Center. It is the only Level 4 center in Illinois outside of Chicago.
A fourth level center provides complex neurodiagnostic monitoring and extensive medical, neuropsychological, and psychosocial treatment. Fourth-level centers also offer a broad range of surgical procedures for epilepsy.
The INI Epilepsy Center, located in Peoria on the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center campus, was established in 1995 and provides services to patients throughout Illinois.
The National Association of Epilepsy Centers was founded by physician leaders committed to setting a national agenda for quality epilepsy care. The non-profit association has a membership of more than 100 specialized epilepsy centers in the United States.
