Volunteer Services

The INI welcomes volunteers to share in many worthwhile roles that assist caregivers in their daily efforts to serve our neurological patients.  We have many opportunities.   Volunteers often take on the following tasks:

• Assist a physical therapist during a rehabilitation session
• Help patient care staff on the neurological care unit 
• Clerical duties
• Peer Visitor program - People who have had a neurological disease or injury visit and provide moral support to a patient that has the same illness or injury. For example an individual that has been through a spinal cord injury will visit and support a new spinal cord injury patient.

All INI volunteer applications and assignments are handled by the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center volunteer office staff.
