Multiple Sclerosis Treatment Options
Holistic Patient-Centered Treatment. For all the different forms that multiple sclerosis can take, treatment options for the disease can take on even more. New medications are being introduced virtually every month and new treatments are evolving rapidly. Keeping up with it all can be challenging. Fortunately, that is precisely what The INI Multiple Sclerosis Center specializes in. We’re dedicated to understanding the newest, most effective treatments available today, and knowing how and when to use them. For patients – it’s a life-altering resource where they can find a one-stop, comprehensive diagnosis and treatment options that give them the one thing they want most ... hope.
The complexity of MS demands equally complex diagnostic tools and The MS Center offers the very latest, from 3T MRI to lumbar puncture procedures. We even offer Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT), a new method for assessing retinal nerve fibers for MS patients with visual problems. Every diagnostic tool is designed to help us quickly identify the disease so that treatment can begin immediately.
Diagnosis of MS is based on a patient's history and thorough examination. No two patients respond to MS the same way, and that is why treatments vary so much. The goal is to prevent new MS lesions from forming throughout the nervous system and to combat effects such as loss of memory or cognitive skills.
