Overview of Rehabilitation Services
You are so much more than your injury or disease. At Rehabilitation Services of the Illinois Neurological Institute (INI), we help our patients find the power they need to achieve the life they desire.
Our inter-disciplinary team is committed to helping patients through each step of their journey. That team consists of physiatrists, advanced practice nurses, rehabilitation nurses and neuropsychologists who are dedicated to helping patients reach their highest level of independence. We strive to empower our patients with daily living skills. We work to educate patients and family members, advocating for their needs and helping them prepare for the future.
Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and our Outpatient Medical Rehabilitation Multi-Service Program are accredited by the internationally recognized Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Since 1991, this accreditation has reflected INI’s dedication to providing the highest standard in rehabilitation services.
Inpatient Rehabilitation
Patients in all areas of OSF Saint Francis Medical Center have access to rehabilitation services. In addition, our 26-bed rehabilitation unit serves patients with neurological and musculoskeletal disorders who are referred throughout the region, and who fit admission criteria. Here, our inter-disciplinary rehabilitation team works with each patient a minimum of three hours a day, based on each individual treatment plan. We welcome and encourage family participation.
Outpatient Rehabilitation
INI offers outpatient rehabilitation services at seven convenient locations. Our comprehensive medical team works with patients suffering from musculoskeletal and neurological impairments, helping them with the skills and strength they need to improve their lives. Our orthopedic specialty and McKenzie certified therapists work with state-of-the-the art technology and the latest medical advances to offer the highest standards in rehabilitation. Our goal is to help you help yourself.
