"I love doing research.  It’s the opportunity to be at the cutting edge with new drugs, new therapies and new devices to help determine the most effective but safest possible treatments.  Best of all, I still get to interact with our patients.

I love doing research.

"We have quite a good core team here, doing a variety of studies with stroke patients. There’s always something new and interesting to investigate and strive for improved stroke treatments.

A member of my own family had a cerebral aneurism rupture with a stroke several years ago. My younger sibling spent months here in the ICU, the acute neurology floor and rehabilitation.  No doubt this has motivated my interest in Neurology and strokes after doing cardiac research for so long.

"I previously heard a speaker say:  "participation in a research study is one generation’s gift to the next generation".  Especially since one’s family history plays an important part in most disease processes, including stroke.
